Sitting at opposite ends of the table at the press conference of the roller derby comedy, Whip It, Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page acted as the bookmarks of sweetness at the panel discussion.

The adorable Ellen Page

“I was fortunate enough to have the first and only person I wanted to do this movie, which I asked her to do before Juno,” said Barrymore, who produced, directed and starred in the film.

Sandwiching fellow actors Eve, Landon Pigg, Alia Shawkat and Andrew Wilson (brother to Owen and Luke), Page talked about the bonding experience they shared during “roller camp” while Barrymore looked on with a proud motherly smile.

“It was strenuous and what have you but I live for that,” said Page. “We all just bonded and became a family. I think we are one right now because every time someone answers a question I can’t just stop smiling, I love everybody. I’m just crazy about everybody.”

As for the photos of Page and Barrymore enjoying the taste of each other’s cherry ChapStick? Barrymore smiles and says, “We’re lovable puppy dogs who give affection and people can read into it all they want, and I just find it delicious and funny.”
