Back in business: City-run farmers’ markets are open again
Yonge-Dundas Square will be filled with scent of fresh strawberries today after striking municipal workers agreed to allow farmers’ markets to resume. Today’s session, which run until 2 p.m., will feature the same vendors who normally sell at Nathan Philips Square on Wednesdays. All other farmer’s markets at Toronto’s Civic Centres will be business as usual starting today. The only difference? Vendors will be taking care of the trash.
