Label makes nice clothes, but we wish we could have seen them

In a standing-room-only section of the tents, Label showed a small presentation of their spring/summer 2012 line to an eager crowd. We are perplexed by the notion of standing to witness a collection—we had to jostle through a sea of tall people (women tend to wear their tallest heels to fashion week) to get even remotely close, and even then we missed getting a decent look at most pieces. Still, it was a good showing: asymmetrical jackets, cropped white shirts and maxi dresses were nice, but our favourite was the low-cut cardigan with a bustier underneath, paired with a belted and pleated floor-length skirt. Though we were fans of the collection (at least what we could strain to see), what more is there to say about 12 looks we got mere glances at? Label girls Shawna Robinson and Natalie Sydoruk are good at what they do; we just wish they could have foregone the shoulder-to-shoulder standing-room-only show for something more sensible. Like, um, chairs.
