Check out all of the hits and misses from the Sid Neigum spring/summer 2012 show at Toronto Fashion Week, including drop-crotch trousers and a series of leather cutouts and polka dots (cruise the gallery after the jump to check out the entire show, and check out what the scene was like in our review).

Bad, bad and worse. There’s definitely something to be said about collections that veer on the esoteric side but frankly this collection is so derivative of other designers which we are familiar with (Owens, Commes and even our own Laing) that it’s hard to take as seriously as it attempts to present itself. Because you are able to filter what seems to be popular or integrate what seems to be the fashionable vernacular into your clothes doesn’t make you a good designer. Frankly this is a poor regurgitation of ideas that I’ve seen in smarter and more modest ways.
