It’s the first day of fashion week; opening the festivities is Project Runway Canada champ Sunny Fong (read our profile of the up-and-comer here), unveiling his 12-look spring-summer collection for Vawk at the AGO. Taking a cue from designers like Alexander McQueen, the show will stream live on-line this afternoon at 4 p.m. at vawkcollection.ca. Stay tuned for more coverage of Vawk and fashion week.

Sunny’s designs are amazing. He is one of my favourite current Canadian designers. Ever since I saw him on Project Runway I have been following what he has been doing. It is awesome that he is opening up Fashion Week.
Has anyone seen the design he did for the White Cashmere Collection this year? It is so intricate and beautiful. If you havent seen it you should check it out http://www.cashmere.ca – the other designs are awesome too.
