These rabbit-fur arm warmers by Montreal furriers Martine et Bonal are the ideal accessory for cold-weather warriors. Available in black, chocolate brown and navy (the natural-colour version is already sold out), the sleeves pair with this season’s capes, shawls and three-quarter-length coats. Wear them in a chilly office, or get double duty by using them as toppers for winter boots (the elastic inside is incredibly stretchy). With these chic wraps, we’ll have plenty of places to go, so let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

I think I read somewhere that Martine et Bonal reuse old fur coats… I think this is a great way to use those old bags of fur that hang in the backs of some peoples closets.
December 7, 2009 at 1:49 pm | by RokevenaI am unsubscribing. It is so disheartening to see the media
promote and condone cruelty to animals for the sake of fashion.
How and why have we taken so many steps backwards?

December 11, 2009 at 10:42 am | by LilyRabbits, minks, regardless, the using animals for fashion issue isn’t just “getting over yourself.” It’s a real policy debate.
Personally, I find it incredibly sad in times where we can produce equally authentic-looking faux fur for nearly half the cost, we would rather choose the (almost evil) option of mass producing dead animals for gloves, so some privileged rich chick can look tacky in public.
December 16, 2009 at 5:41 pm | by HelenLots of people eat rabbit, Helen. It is an environmentally friendly, cheap meat to consume. Are you suggesting that throwing away the fur is a better route to go?
