Well manicured: matte polish is the latest nail craze

ko-flatte-black

With the exception of this summer’s liquid-like metallics, nail polish hasn’t changed much since cosmetic companies began adding glitter and quirky colours like orange and blue to their lines. Until now. Matte polishes from Knockout are the newest trend in the mani-pedi world. Applying it, however, requires an extremely steady hand, so skip the home manicure and take a bottle to a professional.

Knockout matte nail polish, $19 at Aritzia, Eaton Centre, 220 Yonge St., 416-204-1318; plus 11 other GTA locations, aritzia.ca.

  1. i’ve been wearing matte nail polish a few years. i think man glaze was the first one. zoya makes them now too. i haven’t tried knockout (cool bottle!) but the man glaze i use covers great and is really smooth. i don’t mind wearing guy nail polish because it last so long.
