Cause Célèbre: Let’s dress TIFF stars out of the Style Box

EMILY BLUNT
The hot little embodiment of the queen in The Young Victoria has established a preference for all frocks strapless and snug, though not blatantly sexy. In a smart Mulcair number, all too likely inspired by Mad Men, she’d look like a martini olive. (We mean that nicely. Martini olives are really tasty.) It’d be especially smashing were she to return to the hellion-red hair of her Devil Wears Prada days.On Thursday, Gail McInnes and Amanda Brugel flung open the Style Box, a Canadian designer showroom and celeb-dressing service that aims to put the shine on A-list stars. And though the city’s socialites might not believe this, there is a higher firmament to be reached. So we decided to play dress-up and outfit some of TIFF’s most hotly anticipated arrivals—Emily Blunt, Jennifer Connelly and Penélope Cruz among them—in homestyle creations from the Box’s inaugural red-carpet parade.

 1. Anyone in Style-land know if Toronto is showing Anna Wintour’s new documentary, The September Issue?

 2. I read somewhere that it won’t be released here until October! I hope that’s not the case.
