Nothing unites the rich—and even richer still—better than self-adulation at Holt Renfrew, so it was no shock to see Toronto’s swishiest milling about the second-floor shoe department for Holts’ “You Got Coveteur’d” event, celebrating the website from Erin Kleinberg, Stephanie Mark and Jake Rosenberg, which looks into the closets of fashion’s hottest plates. Some of the ladies present had already been profiled, including Flare’s Liz Cabral, who wore enormous lime-green sleeves befitting an ’80s prom dress, and Suzanne Rogers, who was subdued in a taupe, lacy number. Check out the scene at Holt Renfrew in a gallery after the jump.
The newly profiled philanthropist Sylvia Mantella exposed some midriff, and countless socialites-in-training showed off their best neon ensembles in hopes, we assume, that their own closets would soon be profiled. As we sipped on gin cocktails, like the Coveteur Collins and the Shoe Closet Gimlet (also known as a Tom Collins and a gimlet), we wondered who among eTalk host Ben Mulroney, PR professional Michelle Levy, proprietor Richard Lambert, designers Caillianne and Samantha Beckerman, designer Philip Sparks and more would be the next to be coveteur’d (which, for the record, is not an actual verb).

The founders of the coveteur work incrdeibly hard and deserve all the recognition they receive..
August 29, 2011 at 11:40 pm | by paula dI have also met Sylvia Mantella on many occasions and she’s been a very quiet philanropist for many many years.. I can tell you that her huge heart is as kind and generous as she is beautiful, and really, how can we possibly deny her incredible colletions and fashion style!
OK, so how unbeleivable was that cutout dress Sylvia Mantella was wearing at The Coveteur Event!

August 30, 2011 at 10:40 am | by LauraSCan someone at TL explain to me why a party at Holts only gets names of guests in the photo sidebars, while the recent Top Shop and Moon party articles contained rude, inaccurate and offensive comments on each guest? Way to show your bias TL – stay classy.
