July 30, 2010 at 9:31 am | by andrew$1,000 for kids table a two small chairs? It’s too bad Toronto Life’s editors obviously don’t have kids or this list would be completely different (read: practical, cost-effective and of real use to parents).
August 4, 2010 at 12:04 pm | by ScottWhy does child need $4, 400 bed and that is a must have !! Must have for children – lots of love, hugs, kisses, time to spend with them (outdoors) in the summer (not in front of telly — does not count!), reading, talking to them and being there for them… PRICELESS.

I must admit I like the fold-down changing station and the crib, but they are certainly not “essentials”!

When is Toronto Life going to realise that most Torontonians weren’t born with a silver spoon in their mouths and don’t need a $980 changing table.
My wife and I work very hard to be able to buy whatever we want, but nobody who has to work for a living is rushing out to spend this kind of money for no apparent reason.
