Holiday Gift Guide 2011: 19 perfect presents for the jet-setting cosmopolitan

PC Black Label
Holiday Gift Guide 2011

By Fraser Abe, Karolyne Ellacott, Kevin Naulls and Mark Teo | Photography by Carlo Mendoza

We can’t all be glamorous jet-setters and playboys, skipping across the globe to test the slopes of Whistler, Kitzbühel and Les Arcs all in a single week. But for the trips your loved ones can take, they can do it in style with a high-performance pair of electric blue Salomon skis, a quality Olympus E-P3 camera and a sharp—and pocket-friendly—travel toothbrush. We even found some great maps that never crease no matter how much you abuse them (seriously). Check out all 19 of our travel and playtime essentials »

  1. Oh hey yeah! A $425 cashmere blanket is a great idea for my next flight: not only can the gift-giver feel like an ass giving me this thing instead of simply buying me my plane ticket, but I can also add it to my already-rammed bags, also risk losing this generous and luxurious gift! As for that clunky iPhone receiver–why not? Because baggage allowances have just gotten more generous…I’ll keep that in mind for when I fly first-class and I’m allowed to bring double the amount of luggage as the peons flying economy. Get real, TO Life! Sometimes you publish the silliest things.

  2. Now why would anyone who flies economy be worried about getting a $425 cashmere blanket as a gift? I’d have to say your rant is unfounded and not something you’d have to worry about anyway. Perhaps something in the under $30 category would interest you? :)
