We hit up Coco Rocha at the Holt Renfrew fash bash

Holt Renfrew took their annual gala, always the festival’s most fashionable bash, to new heights last night—the very top of The Burroughes Building, much to the dismay of spike-heeled attendees. No sooner had we reached the top of our social climb, joining Westons and Queen Westers alike, when we heard a dismayed gasp coming from a woman staring at Coco Rocha.

Rocha, co-star of the Holt Renfrew shopping vignettes, which played on a screen during the party, slinking about in a raven, plume-shouldered gown designed by Greta Constantine. Reportedly set to wear a dress from another local designer, it seemed she’d pulled a fast one. So, just as quickly, we found our inner modelizer and chatted up Canada’s super sweetheart to get the scoop.

TIFF.TO: So, unexpected question. What are you wearing?
COCO: Greta Constantine, of course! These are my boys. (Gestures to designers Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong, clustered among her halo of admirers.)
TIFF.TO: Not Pink Tartan?
COCO: Pardon?
TIFF.TO: Never mind. Are you excited for your movie debut?
COCO: Well, it’s not really a movie. It’s just me and my BFF [model Behati Prinsloo] fooling around. It’s fun.
TIFF.TO: A lot of real movie actresses say they won’t watch themselves on screen.
COCO: Why not?
TIFF.TO: Oh, who knows? That’s just what serious actresses like to say.
COCO: But I can’t be serious! I’m happy to see it, yeah. It’s really fun.
