If you don’t like the job I’ve done so far, that’s fine. Do me a favour and vote for somebody else in the next election, but in the meantime stop your armchair sniveling and help me to stop these motherfuckers from dismantling everything we’ve achieved so far.
—CUPE Local 416 president Mark Ferguson in a private email exchange with a paramedic who’d criticized his tactics in recent negotiations with City Hall. Apparently Derek Yantha thought a paramedic or two could have spruced up CUPE’s already-slick ad campaign. But the union president responded that they’d in fact invited one to the casting call. The problem is that they didn’t bother to show up. Perhaps they were busy sniveling in their armchair? [Toronto Sun]

what a dick
February 15, 2012 at 8:28 pm | by BruceHow’s he a dick? I think the dick is the person who released that email. Its not like Feguson was beloved by the public to begin with, so what exactly was achieved by releasing this, other than giving the Toronto Sun a splashy headline, or Sue Ann Levy something else to froth at the mouth over?
