Earlier this week, the Toronto Star reported that York Regional Police was attempting to finagle its way out of providing information requested by the paper under freedom of information laws. Then, late yesterday afternoon, we received a copy of a letter from the cop shop to the paper alleging that the Star’s story is inaccurate and their reporter is a bully (yes, that’s a lowly ink-stained scribe pushing around the boys in blue). Which all sounds like the makings of good ol’ sparring match to us. The Star threw down the gauntlet, the police fired back, and now the ball is back in the paper’s court. Unlike teachers, nurses, social workers, mental health workers, public servants and other professionals who should be fired at the drop of a hat if they ever make a mistake or get involved in politics, The Police have a difficult job and should be allowed to do whatever they want, to whomever they want, whenever they want. Like Rob Ford said after the G20, “they shoulda used their pistols.”
So the commie writers at The Star can slander them all they want – police will still protect them from protestors who interefer with traffic and prevent me from driving vroom vroom down the road in my big truck.

He doesn’t want the light shined on him and his dirty police force because rats and roaches hate that.
If he hates the media so much MOVE TO CHINA. There you can experience a vice like grip on the media. This is Canada- unlike what some of your officers think (i.e. Detective Mark “The G20 Goof” Charlebois)
