With his two sons in their 40s and long out of the house, Patrick Rostant wanted to downsize. The Trinidad-­born retiree left his home in Malton and moved to Twin Pines in October 2009. “I love it,” says Rostant. “It’s peaceful and quiet. There aren’t too many teenagers, which is a good thing.” The money he’s saved has allowed him to travel. He spent last winter in Trinidad, but he likes to come back to Twin Pines in the spring. “I wouldn’t live anywhere else,” he says.
