Rob Ford’s last chance to stave off a campaign finance audit has lapsed…finally

After months of stalling, it looks like Rob Ford could face an audit of his campaign finances as early as April. Since the city’s compliance audit committee called for a full review of his 2010 campaign spending last May, the mayor and his legal team have filed appeal after appeal—maintaining all the while that he has nothing to hide. Now, the Globe and Mail reports that Ford’s last chance to slow the proceedings has passed, and a court will decide in April if the audit will go ahead.
