Like his right-hand man Giorgio Mammoliti, Rob Ford can smell the communists in his midst. Ford made the remarks (“Joe” Stalin? Um, since when are Ford and the deceased Soviet dictator drinking buddies?) during a radio interview with AM 640 Host John Oakley in response to a question about Josh Matlow. In addition, to Matlow—who, really, is basically council’s Switzerland—Ford specifically referred to comrades Adam Vaughan, Gord Perks, Janet Davis and Paula Fletcher. Stalin’s steel portrait monument at Toronto City Hall
This petition, a plea for sanity and decency, is requesting the removal of the steel inlaid, large Stalin portrait from the front of the Toronto City Hall. This portrait monument on Queen Street side of the Toronto City Hall is an abomination and cruel insult not only to the hundreds of thousand of Torontonians whose kinfolks were murdered by the tens of millions in Stalin’s Communist Soviet Empire, but to all decent human being everywhere. To “honour” Stalin, histories biggest genocidal mega mass murder, under any pretext is repugnant and horrid. Toronto does not need to be internationally shamed for its blatant Stalinist display.

Regarding the request to remove the large steel portrait of Stalin from Toronto City Hall ground, it must be noted that any rational humanbeing realizes that a large glaring portrait of Adolph Hitler, even with the underlying caption “The Munich agreement that started the dismemberment Czechoslovakia wassigned by British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain but was apposed by the FirstLord of Admiralty, Winton Churchill” would not be placed on a permanent displayat the one of the busiest, and tourist flooded areas of the Toronto City Hall. Nolarge, prominent and permanent Hitler portrait at Toronto City Hall, regardlessof the setting or theme would ever be ”vetted by both the Association inconjunction with the Cultural Department and deemed an integral part of historyand therefore suitable for exhibition”, even if “in no way, were they condoning the part that Hitlerplayed in history”. Let common sense and humanity prevail at Toronto City Hall.
