Toronto East York council gave Ryerson University the nod to build a large glass building, and the proposal for the building will now go before city council. Opponents say that the building clashes with the rest of Yonge Street, which is sort of hard to dispute—an enormous crystal-like structure will definitely stand out amid a sea of squat buildings and storefronts.
