It seems like festivals these days aren’t content with offering one type of entertainment: in addition to the staggering number of films screening at TIFF this year, the festival will include art installations, as well as thoroughly Canadian music programming at the Festival Music House (also know as The Mod Club, on College Street). With well-known Canadian artists, including Sam Roberts Band, Rural Alberta Advantage, K’naan, Hey Rosetta! and the Sheepdogs, we’ve got to hand it to this year’s organizers for putting together a pretty fantastic concert series. Check out the full lineup after the jump.

While Festival Music House may boast that it “[offers] film industry tastemakers an amazing opportunity to experience Canada’s wealth of musical talent during the height of the Toronto International Film Festival,” we think Torontonians will also appreciate the three-day lineup. On September 12, Mod Club will host Hooded Fang, Dinosaur Bones, Hannah Georgas, The Midway State and headliner K’naan, and September 13 has a pretty knockout lineup with Whitehorse, Ladies of the Canyon, Lights, recent Rolling Stone cover subjects the Sheepdogs and headliner Sam Roberts Band. The third and final show on September 14 keeps the talent coming with the Darcys, Parlovr, Hey Rosetta!, the Rural Alberta Advantage and headliners the Arkells. We expect to see a younger contingent of celebrities and industry professionals attending some of these shows—Ryan Gosling, Leighton Meester and Chace Crawford, perhaps?—but who knows, maybe Bono will show up to check out the up-and-coming competition.
