Pay thousands for Rainn Wilson, Justin Bieber and MC Hammer to follow your tweets

Disappointed that not a single famous person follows you on Twitter? Well, now you can buy your way into pseudo Internet stardom by bidding on a chance to have a celebrity follower on eBay. It sounds icky, but proceeds from the auction go toward rebuilding Haiti. Clearly targeted at teenagers, the list of celebrities includes Ashley Tisdale, Demi Lovato, a handful of Glee cast members, the Jonas Brothers and, yes, Justin Bieber, who at just over $3,000 is, shockingly, the 11th highest-priced star in the auction, falling behind Eva Longoria ($5,000), Jessica Alba ($4,650) and the top celebrity, UFC fighter president Dana White at $15,600.

It’s not really a surprise that the Biebs isn’t winning in this celebrity race: what parent would fork over $15K for a potential serial killer to follow their kid on Twitter? And, as we’ve learned before, any person Bieber tweets about will be bombarded with death threats by Bieliebers around the world.

Some other celebs participating:

• Alicia Keys
• Blair Underwood
• Bret Michaels
• Cher
• Demi Moore
• Jessica Simpson
• MC Hammer
• Neil Gaiman
• The Kardashians
• Rainn Wilson
• Perez Hilton
• Paula Abdul
• Simon Pegg
• Snoop Dogg
• Stephen Fry
• The “prostitution whore” lady from Real Housewives of New Jersey
