His reality show Bromance won’t return for a second season (has anyone even laid eyes on the winner from season one since the finale?), but maybe that’s because Brody Jenner is less committed to his male BFFships and more committed to macking north-of-the-border beauties.
Seemingly tired of reality TV queens, Jenner, who starred in Laguna Beach and The Hills and is also the son of Olympian Bruce Jenner and the step-brother of all those Kardashians, turned to Toronto’s finest in 2008, hooking up with Scarborough native Jayde Nicole, a.k.a. the 2008 Playmate of the Year. The couple split sometime over the past few months. Turns out a suburban centrefold was small potatoes compared to Brody’s next local conquest. Hint: she loves plaid, hates smiling and had a really promising music career back in…when was that, again? Avril Lavigne and Jenner’s highly unexpected coupling (he’s a surfer boy, she’s a Sk8er Girl) has been blossoming for a few weeks now. On Friday, they were spotted having dinner with friends at Beso in L.A. Lavigne hid under her trusty hood in an effort to avoid the paparazzi.
As for the future object of Jenner’s affection (because, let’s face it, the chances of Brovril making it past May 2-4 are slim), we’re thinking Degrassi-cum-90210 star Shenae Grimes may be the perfect match. She’s got Lavigne’s attitude and Jayde’s some-might-say skanky wardrobe. Plus, she’s besties with the gals from Toronto’s on-line version of The Hills, Jaclife, so with any luck we could expect to see Jenner turn up on yet another reality show about the trials and tribulations of being hot in the near future.
