Factory Theatre artistic director Ken Gass has been fired

Last Thursday, Ken Gass was terminated from his position as artistic director by Factory Theatre’s board of directors. Gass sent an email to The Star that stated no cause had been given for the action, other than the fact that the board had plans to move forward in a new direction. Gass is not happy, as you may expect, given his long association with the theatre he founded in 1970, but he says he’s “looking forward to the next chapter of [his] creative life.” Do we smell a sitcom?
