The familiar faces of Glee, Mad Men, 30 Rock and Modern Family bedazzled and, thanks to Jimmy Fallon and some clever viewer input via Twitter, entertained at last night’s Primetime Emmy Awards. Our two Canuck reps, Martin Short and Catherine O’Hara, lost to Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul and Temple Grandin‘s Julia Ormond, respectively, but the latter’s shout-out to O’Hara in her acceptance speech provided the most titillating moment of the awards show. It went something like this: “Catherine, oh…oh…what’s your name? Oh…I love you.” After a few extremely flustered expressions of gratitude, Ormond apparently managed to recover O’Hara’s full name from her hippocampus, but we’re sure the inevitable after-party meet-up was more than uncomfortable.
