Welcome to Toronto Life’s Daily Dish

Daily Dish - Salt & PepperToronto is a workaholic town. We walk with our heads down, fixated on our BlackBerrys. Multitasking is a badge of honour. But where we all come together, the place where our stories are told, re-hashed and passed along, is at the city’s tables, over food. When it comes to eating and drinking, we crave adventure, and our culinary masters have responded by creating one of the most diverse dining scenes in the world—our restaurants are the most exciting, sexy and cosmopolitan places in Toronto. Witness the speed of the word of mouth when a new block of Winterlicious seating opens up at Canoe, or how we treat 10°C as acceptable patio weather. Dinner is sacred, and brunch is blood sport.

We are food obsessed, and Daily DishToronto Life’s new eating and drinking news feed—is here to report on the drama that plays out in our restaurants and food shops. We will be tireless in seeking up-to-the-minute gossip, news and trends that shape what and where we eat. We will track the rise and fall of our local culinary superheroes (and superheroes-in-the-making), as well as the movers and shakers of the industry. Simply put, we will share our love of eating, and everything and everyone that surrounds it. Enjoy the meal.
