  3. I was a client of Dr Bernstein for a while, and was very happy about the weight loss and the program overall. Until I realized that the program which claims to understand Type 1 Diabetes was a complete lie, the nursing staff was un- educated in Type 1 Diabetes which is a very complex disease which is unique to everyone who has it. I would strongly recommend any Type 1 diabetic especially if you are on an insulin pump to reconsider doing Dr. Bernstein, the changes they wanted to make to my insulin intake would have killed me in a day. Oh and if you are having a low blood suger you are not allowed to correct your low with protein and juice, they would rather you suck on a few orange slices. The program is a joke, and Dr Bernstein, is a jack of all trades and a master on none!
