We’re at the end of Wedding Week on torontolife.com, and we’re capping things off with this nuptial-themed edition of The Find. Many brides and bridesmaids feel obligated to wear heels on the big day but find them unbearable by the time the reception dinner is over. These leather ballet flats fold in half and fit into a four-by-four-inch silk pouch that easily tucks into a purse until the heels come off. We like the gold version, but they’re available in other wedding-friendly colours, like silver, rose gold and red.

Winter warriors should check out this sleek model from Andrew Buckler. Aptly named the Gun Coat, it pairs a classic overcoat silhouette with fashion-forward metal detailing, playing up the military theme that flooded the runways last year. Made from a heavyweight wool and polyester blend, the coat promises to keep its wearer warm down to about minus 10 Celsius. Available in black at $149 (70 per cent off its original $745 price tag), with or without the accompanying scarf ($28), this jacket is the best winter friend man has had since St. Bernards stopped carrying casks on their collars.
The holiday party season may be over, but that’s no reason not to sparkle on an evening out. This scoop-neck cotton-spandex tee has a foil coating that has been melted onto the garment and vacuum-sealed to achieve the creases and folds. As it wears, the shirt will take on its own look, with the foil finish developing an aged patina—chipping, cracking and flaking—making each top completely individual. Buyers are even encouraged to distress the foil by hand for a rough-hewn look.
We don’t often write about cosmetics and skin products on Style, but we’ve been using Per-fékt’s skin perfection gel for years, having smuggled it in from the States until it was made available in Canada a few years ago, and we’re surprised that the product has remained fairly unknown.
Reptiles have always creeped us out, but we’re reconsidering our aversion after finding this cobra ring ($565), part of the Myths and Fantasies collection from
