The Food: Elevated comfort food, like wood-fired pizzas topped with lobster and truffles, and a 34-ounce côte-de-beouf served with charred green onions and potato galette. $150 buys a selection of oysters, clams and other raw seafood stacked on a a tiered silver tray.
The Place: The former bank building, revamped by British designer Martin Brudnizki, feels a bit like a retro gentlemen’s club with art deco floor tiles and staid leather seating. Other details add fun, like a vintage photo booth and a rainbow-hued mural by Douglas Coupland. A miniature outpost of the Drake General Store is housed in an antique glass-fronted cabinet.
